Kodak Announces Honorees for 8th Annual Kodak Film Awards
The event will be held in March at the ASC Clubhouse, with Society member Autumn Durald Arkapaw among the honorees.
The eighth Annual Kodak Film Awards will take place on Monday evening, March 2, 2026, at the ASC Clubhouse in Hollywood. The invitation-only event will honor Autumn Durald Arkapaw, ASC; Joachim Trier; Kristen Stewart; Patricia Keighley of Imax; Salomon Ligthelm and the television series Fallout.
Stewart will be honored with the Debut Feature Award for her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water. "The award recognizes first-time filmmakers who bring a distinctive voice and vision to their inaugural feature," says Kodak in a statement. Past recipients include Céline Song, Michael Morris and Melina Matsoukas.

Trier will receive the Auteur Award, which celebrates filmmakers who have created critically acclaimed work and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to their singular artistic voice. "[Trier is] an artist whose body of work reflects both rigor and originality, and whose influence on contemporary cinema continues to grow," says Kodak. His latest film, Sentimental Value, was awarded the Grand Prix at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and has since garnered nine Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best International Feature.
Durald will receive the Lumière Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the art of cinematography. Kodak has supported and collaborated with Durald on recent projects, including Sinners — which received 16 Academy Award nominations, including Best Cinematography, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing — and The Last Showgirl.

Ligthelm will be honored with the Music & Commercial Film Director Award, presented in honor of his creativity in the field of music and commercial films.

The Television Series of the Year Award will be presented to Fallout, lauding the series’ "cinematic scope, visual craftsmanship and contribution to episodic storytelling."
The Keighley Award will be presented by Christopher Nolan to Patricia Keighley of Imax, "honoring her lasting impact on large-format exhibition and presentation of cinema." The award will be presented in tribute to Patricia and her late husband, David Keighley, "whose shared dedication to the theatrical experience has played a significant role in advancing the art and technology of filmmaking." Together, Kodak and Keighley will select future recipients of the award, in an ongoing effort to salute those who have made "distinguished contributions to film exhibition."
