American Society of Cinematographers Opens Submissions for 40th ASC Awards
All filmmakers who meet ASC Awards eligibility guidelines may submit.
The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) began accepting entries today for all categories of the 40th Annual ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards, scheduled for March 8, 2026, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Streamed live to a global audience, the ASC Awards honor the exceptional artistry and craftsmanship of directors of photography who elevate the language of visual storytelling.
Award categories include:
— One-Hour Television Series
— Half-Hour Television Series
— Limited or Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for TV
— Music Video
— Documentary
— Spotlight Award
— Theatrical Feature Film
All filmmakers who meet ASC Awards eligibility guidelines may submit.
The deadline for Documentary, Music Video, and TV categories is Nov. 3, while submissions for theatrical feature films will be accepted until Nov. 14, 2025. Details and submission forms can be found here.
Spotlight Award contenders are determined by an ASC Committee and are not open for submission. Nominations will be announced Jan. 8, 2026.
Founded in 1919, the ASC currently includes 471 members representing national roots in approximately 20 countries, along with 316 associate members from related segments of the industry.
